Voter Registration Information


If you need to register to vote or change your address on your voters registration, visit Illinois State Board of Elections and click on the "Online Voter Registration" tab.

PETITION CIRCULATION BEGINS

First day to circulate petitions for candidates seeking election in the 2023 Consolidated Election.

FIRST DAY TO FILE CANDIDATE PETITIONS

Monday, December 12th (8:00am to 5:00pm)

Upon arrival by 8:00am, you will be brought into City Hall atrium by staff. Staff will begin file-stamping petition packets at 8:01am and provide a copy of receipt to each candidate. 

REMINDER: You must file your EIS with the St. Clair County Clerk's Office prior to submission of your petition packet. Contact 618-825-2367 to schedule an appointment for filing with the St. Clair County Clerk's Office. 


LAST DAY TO FILE CANDIDATE PETITIONS

Monday, December 19th (8:00am to 5:00pm)

Last day to file nomination papers in the office of the City Clerk by no later than 5:00pm.

 

LAST DAY TO FILE OBJECTIONS TO PETITIONS

Tuesday, December 27th (8:00am to 5:00pm)

Last day to file objections to nomination papers of independent, new party and nonpartisan candidates in the office of the City Clerk by no later than 5:00pm.

 

FIRST DAY TO SUBMIT VOTE BY MAIL APPLICATIONS

Wednesday, January 4, 2023

First day to apply for a vote by mail ballot through the St. Clair County Clerk's Office or Illinois State Board of Elections for the 2023 Consolidated Election. Ballots will not be mailed before Thursday, February 23, 2023.

EARLY VOTING AND VOTE BY MAIL BEGINS

First day for early voting at St. Clair County Clerk's Office and in any additional locations as designated. First day St. Clair County Clerk's Office mails an official ballot to a voter that applied for a vote by mail ballot.
