Belleville Township Board

Overview:

Township government is one of the oldest forms of government in Illinois. It is often referred to as Grassroots Government. The ever important function of township government is to provide assistance and service to the township residents, listening to the questions and feed back of its citizens. By working hand in hand, the townships provide a valuable link between local government and the community.

The Township boundaries are co-extensive wit the City of Belleville. The population of Belleville Township is in excess of 43,000 and covers and area over 1,400 square miles.
