Daily Hours:

Opening Day: Saturday June, 5 2010

Closing Day: Sunday, August 29, 2010

Senior Swimming & Aerobics (Fridays) 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Senior & Adult Swim* / Water Walking 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Daily)
Mondays - Sunday 12:00  - 7:00 p.m.

*Beginning August 16th - Pool will open at 4pm Monday - Friday.

*Pool will close at 6pm every other Saturday beginning June 5th.

*Youth age 4 and younger with adult allowed in Baby Pool area ONLY during adult swim. Limit 2 youth per adult.

Private Swim Parties:

 

Splash Birthday Parties:

Groups pf 10 or more can book parties up to two hours between the hours of 3:00 - 7:00p.m.  48 hours notice is required.  $4.50 per child. Optional concession package available including: hot dog, chips, & soda for an additional $4 per person.

Reservation Fees:

$100.00 security deposit required with credit card for all parties.

50 guests or less: $100.00 first hour/$60.00 each additional hour

51 - 99 guests: $150.00 first hour/$60.00 each additional hour

100 guests or more: Contact staff for special arrangements

Must be 21 or older to reserve a pool party.

Minimum 3 day advanced reservation is required.

Programs:

 

American Red Cross Lesson Information:

Classes are taught by the Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructions, using the Red Cross progressions and guidelines.  Classes are limited to 6 students per instructor.  Waiting lists will be kept for any filled classes.

Water Babies - 6-18 Months

Aqua Tots - 18-36 Months

Parents introduce the children to the water in a safe, fun and healthy manner.  Skills and procedures taught by our instructors will aid the child in becoming comfortable in the water and will help the child to learn skills more easily.  Class times limited call for information.

Level 1 - Water Exploration

To become comfortable in the water, learning breath control, balance, assisted floating and kicking.

Level 2 - Primary Skills

Emphasis on unassisted floating, front and back guides, flutter kick and combined stroke on front and back.

Level 3 - Stroke Readiness

To further develop skills from previous levels.  Introducing rhythmic breathing, the elementary backstroke, treading water and dives.

Level 4 - Stroke Development

To develop confidence and endurance in skills and strokes already learned.  Introducing the sidestroke and breaststroke.

Level 5 - Stroke Refinement

Coordination, refinement and endurance for key strokes.  Introducing the butterfly.

Levels 6 & 7 - Advanced Stroke Endurance and Skills

Continue to refine strokes in addition to dives and accuracy.

Water Aerobics:

This is a fun way to exercise and a great workout for all ages.  The benefits of this low-impact technique includes increased resistance due to the water and less jarring on joints.

American Red Cross Life Guard Training:

Come to the Belleville Pool and take the class that will prepare you for lifeguarding this summer.  You will learn lifeguarding techniques, CPR, and First Aid.  Upon completion of this course. For more information call the Belleville Parks & Recreation Department at (618) 233-1416. People needing to take the lifeguard challenge are also welcome.

American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer:

This class is designed for lifeguards who need to update their CPR for the upcoming season.  Upon completion of this class participants will be certified in CPR.  Challenge course are also available.  For more information call the Belleville Parks & Recreation Department at (618) 233-1416.
